Our aims are to provide a quality factoring service that offers value for money, meets legal requirements and good practice standards in line with the Property Factors (Scotland) Act 2011 Code of Conduct. PWL offer a range of factoring services in order to maintain your building and keeping your common areas looking great.
Following a recent review of the Code of Conduct for Property Factors by the Scottish Government, Partick Works Limited have issued an updated written statement of services to you by email or post in August 2022, which is now in 2 parts. Part 1 will outline our obligations and service levels and part 2 will be a Schedule of Details for customers setting out the specific services at their property, key information about our charges and details of your share of repair.

We will carry out an annual visit to check the general condition of the close, backcourt and bin areas and take a note of any repairs required. We offer the following services to owners.

Bin store cleaning
Bin store powerwashing
Wheelie bin pull out

Waste Management Services are carried out by Caledonian Maintenance Services and include power washing of bin stores , bin store sweep and tidy, and wheelie bin pull out service.

Garden Maintenance Services are carried out by Anderson Landscaping Ltd and include grass cutting, litter collection, weed control, moss control, shrub pruning, shrub beds edged, hedges and tree maintenance .

Close Cleaning and Close Window Cleaning Services are carried out by Tenement Steps and include sweeping and washing the stairs on a fortnightly basis, and close window cleaning on a quarterly basis.

As of 1 July 2023, Partick Works Ltd, offer customers fully Comprehensive Buildings Insurance Cover under our block policy with Allied World Assurance Company Ltd. The Building Insurance Policy covers the fabric of the building along with any common areas.
It does not cover contents within an individual property. If you wish to be added on to our block policy please contact a member of the team.
Customers who are not covered under our block policy should provide PWL with a copy of their existing building insurance cover on an annual basis. As factor, we have a duty of care to other residents to minimise the risk to their building and have written confirmation that all properties are adequately insured.

On 14 July 2021, the Scottish Government published a revised Code of Conduct (the Code) for Property Factors setting out the minimum standards that factors should adhere to when carrying out their services. Compliance with the Code is a legal requirement for all property factors. The revised Code will replace the current Code that has been in place since October 2012. A number of changes have been made to the Code, underpinned by the objectives of improved clarity and flexibility for those subject to the Code. These changes came into effect on 16 August 2021.
